Chrome Extension#

The Otomizer Chrome extension connects your browser to Facebook so posts in your groups sync to the dashboard and automation can run.

Install#

1. Go to app.otomizer.com and sign in
2. During onboarding Chapter 2, click the link to the Chrome Web Store
3. Click Add to Chrome and confirm
4. Pin the extension: click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, then pin Otomizer

How it works#

The extension runs in the background while you are logged into Facebook in Chrome. It:

• Scans posts in groups you selected during onboarding
• Sends matching posts to Otomizer for scoring and reply drafting
• Posts comments on your behalf when Autopilot is enabled

Otomizer cannot monitor groups without the extension active.

Requirements#

• Google Chrome: other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave) may work but are not officially supported
• Logged into Facebook in the same Chrome profile
• Chrome must stay open: closing Chrome pauses monitoring until you reopen it
• Group membership: you must be a member of the groups you want to monitor (admin access is not required)

Check that it is connected#

On the onboarding screen or dashboard, look for the extension status indicator. If it shows disconnected:

1. Confirm the extension is installed and enabled at chrome://extensions
2. Refresh the Otomizer dashboard
3. Make sure you are using Chrome, not Safari or Firefox
4. Click Check Extension on the onboarding page

Troubleshooting#

Extension not detected#

1. Confirm the extension is installed and enabled in chrome://extensions
2. Refresh the Otomizer dashboard
3. Make sure you are using Chrome, not Safari or Firefox
4. Disable other Facebook-related extensions temporarily to rule out conflicts

Posts not syncing#

1. Verify the group is selected in your Otomizer settings
2. Confirm you are still a member of the group on Facebook
3. Check that Chrome is open and you are logged into Facebook
4. Try clicking Fetch Groups again from onboarding or Groups in the dashboard

Autopilot not posting#

1. Confirm Autopilot mode is enabled (not Monitor only)
2. Check that rate limits have not triggered a pause. See Account Safety
3. New posts may take a minute to appear. Refresh the Leads page

[!safety] Keep Chrome open while Autopilot runs. If Chrome closes, monitoring and auto-replies stop until you reopen it.
