Onboarding Walkthrough#
Otomizer onboarding has four chapters. Most users finish in under 5 minutes.
| Chapter | Label | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | About your business | Describe what you sell |
| 2 | Connect Facebook | Install extension, sync groups |
| 3 | Targeting and voice | Keywords, groups, AI persona |
| 4 | Go live | Monitor vs Autopilot, launch |
You can save progress and come back anytime.
Chapter 1: About your business#
Goal: Give Otomizer enough context to suggest keywords and draft your reply voice.
Fields#
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Business name | Your company or personal brand name |
| Industry | Pick the closest match (agency, coach, SaaS, local service, etc.) |
| Description | One or two sentences about what you sell and who you help |
What happens behind the scenes#
When you submit Chapter 1, Otomizer generates:
- A set of keywords that match buyer-intent posts in groups
- An AI persona draft tuned to your industry
You can edit both in Chapter 3.
[!tip] Be specific in your description. "Paid ads for restaurants" beats "marketing services."
Chapter 2: Connect Facebook#
Goal: Install the extension and pull your Facebook Groups.
Steps#
- Click Install Extension to open the Chrome Web Store
- Add the extension and pin it in your toolbar
- Click Check Extension to confirm Otomizer detects it
- Click Fetch Groups to load every group you are a member of
Common issues#
- Extension not found: make sure you are in Chrome and the extension is enabled
- No groups returned: confirm you have joined at least one Facebook Group
See Chrome Extension for full troubleshooting.
Chapter 3: Targeting and voice#
Goal: Tell Otomizer which groups to watch, what posts to match, and how to reply.
Keywords#
Review the AI-suggested positive keywords. Add more if needed. Add negative keywords to skip noise:
- "hiring", "job opening", "ISO employee"
- Competitor names you do not want to engage with
- Off-topic terms for your niche
See Keywords.
Groups#
Check the groups where your buyers actually post. Uncheck groups that are too broad or off-topic.
You do not need to be a group admin. Regular membership is enough.
AI persona#
Pick a template (agency, freelancer, coach, etc.) or edit the persona text directly. This controls how replies sound.
See Persona and Voice.
Brand mention#
If you entered a business name in Chapter 1, brand mention monitoring is enabled by default. Posts that mention your business get priority treatment.
Chapter 4: Go live#
Goal: Pick your operating mode and launch.
Monitor vs Autopilot#
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Monitor only | Otomizer finds and scores leads. You review and reply manually. |
| Autopilot | Otomizer posts replies automatically on matched posts. |
See Monitor vs Autopilot.
Rate limits (Autopilot)#
Set how aggressively Otomizer posts:
- Min/max wait between comments (e.g. 3 to 5 minutes)
- Max comments per day (start low, e.g. 10)
See Account Safety.
Reply preview#
Before launching, use the reply preview to see how Otomizer would respond to sample posts. You can also generate a preview for your own business.
See Reply Preview.
Launch#
Click Launch. You land on the dashboard with leads queued as the extension finds matching posts.
After onboarding#
- Review Hot leads first on the Leads page
- Tweak keywords and persona in Settings or Monitor Config if matches are too broad or too narrow
- Switch to Autopilot once you are happy with reply quality
