Brand Mention Monitoring#
Brand mention monitoring watches for posts that include your business name. When someone names you in a group, Otomizer treats it as a high-priority lead and drafts a personal reply.
Why it matters#
If someone posts "Has anyone worked with [Your Business]?" or "Thinking about hiring [Your Business], any thoughts?" that is a direct opportunity. These posts score higher than generic keyword matches and get faster attention.
How to enable it#
Brand mention monitoring turns on automatically during onboarding if you entered a business name in Chapter 1.
To check or change it:
- Go to Monitor Config or Settings
- Find Brand Mention Monitoring
- Toggle on/off
- Confirm your business name is spelled correctly
Your business name is also added to your positive keywords list automatically.
How it works#
When the extension scans a post:
- Otomizer checks if the post text contains your business name (case-insensitive)
- If yes, the post gets a priority boost in scoring
- The reply strategy favors a personal, direct tone
- In Autopilot, these posts are processed ahead of regular keyword matches
Reply behavior for brand mentions#
Replies to brand mentions are more personal than standard keyword matches:
- Acknowledge the mention naturally
- Answer the question if there is one
- Ask a follow-up if appropriate
- Never be defensive or overly salesy
Example post: "Anyone used ABC Marketing for restaurant social? Worth it?"
Good reply: "Appreciate the mention. Biggest thing for restaurants is usually consistency over platform. What's your main bottleneck right now, content or ads?"
Tips#
- Use the exact name people would type in a group, not your legal entity name
- If you operate under a personal brand, enter your name as the business name
- Combine with Monitor mode first so you can review brand mention replies before Autopilot handles them
