Getting started#

How do I get started?#

Sign up at app.otomizer.com with Facebook, install the Chrome extension, describe your business, select groups, and launch. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes. See the Quickstart guide.

Do I need a credit card?#

Check app.otomizer.com for current trial terms. A free trial is available for new accounts.

What browsers are supported?#

Google Chrome is required. The extension monitors Facebook group posts from your browser. Other Chromium browsers may work but are not officially supported.

Do I log in with email or Facebook?#

Facebook only. Otomizer uses Facebook OAuth because it reads group posts on your behalf.

Do I need to be a group admin?#

No. You need to be a member of the groups you want to monitor. Admin access is not required.

Extension and monitoring#

Why is the extension not detected?#

Confirm it is installed and enabled at chrome://extensions, refresh the dashboard, and make sure you are using Chrome. See Chrome Extension.

Why are no posts syncing?#

Verify groups are selected in your settings, you are still a member on Facebook, Chrome is open, and you are logged into Facebook. Try fetching groups again.

Do I need to keep Chrome open?#

Yes. The extension only runs while Chrome is open and you are logged into Facebook. Closing Chrome pauses monitoring.

Leads and replies#

How does lead scoring work?#

Every matched post gets an intent score from 0 to 10, shown as Hot, Warm, or Cold. See Lead Scoring.

Will replies sound like spam?#

The Marketing Intelligence Layer is designed to prevent that. Replies use peer voice, avoid jargon, and never drop your brand name unless the post asks for a recommendation. Test with Reply Preview before enabling Autopilot.

What is the difference between Monitor and Autopilot?#

Monitor finds leads and drafts replies for you to post manually. Autopilot posts replies automatically with rate limits. See Monitor vs Autopilot.

Can I edit replies before they go out?#

In Monitor mode, yes. You review and post manually. In Autopilot, replies are posted automatically. Test and tune your persona with Reply Preview before enabling Autopilot.

Account safety#

Is Autopilot safe for my Facebook account?#

Autopilot includes rate limits, comment uniqueness checks, and auto-pause if Facebook throttles activity. Start with low daily limits (5 to 10) and increase gradually. See Account Safety.

What happens if Facebook flags my account?#

Otomizer auto-pauses Autopilot. Switch to Monitor mode, wait 48 to 72 hours, review recent replies, and lower your limits before re-enabling.

How do I cancel?#

Go to Billing in the dashboard and manage your subscription from there.

Data and privacy#

What data does Otomizer access?#

Otomizer reads posts in Facebook Groups you are a member of and that you have selected for monitoring. It does not access private messages, friends lists, or groups you have not selected.

Can I use multiple Facebook accounts?#

Multi-account support is on the roadmap. Currently one Facebook account per Otomizer account.
