Persona and Voice#
Your AI persona controls how Otomizer writes replies. The goal is peer-like, specific, never pitchy. Replies should read like something you would actually type, not a marketing bot.
What the persona is#
The persona is a short set of instructions that tell the AI:
- Who you are (agency owner, freelancer, coach, etc.)
- How you talk (direct, warm, casual, technical)
- What you never say (jargon, hard sells, brand drops unless asked)
You set it during onboarding Chapter 3. Edit it anytime in Monitor Config or Settings.
Persona templates#
Otomizer ships with 14 ready-made templates covering common niches:

Pick the closest match, then customize the text to match how you actually write.
Good vs bad persona text#
Good#
"We run paid social for local restaurants. I reply like a peer who has been in the trenches, not a salesperson. I ask one question before giving advice. I never drop our company name unless someone asks for a recommendation."
Bad#
"We are a revolutionary marketing agency that unleashes growth for businesses. We use cutting-edge AI to deliver game-changing results. Always mention our brand and include a link."
The good version gives the AI concrete behavior rules. The bad version produces spammy replies.
Customizing your voice#
After picking a template, edit these elements:

| Examples | Optional: paste a reply you have written that sounds like you |
[!tip] Paste one or two replies you have actually posted in groups. The AI uses these as a style anchor.
How persona affects replies#
The Marketing Intelligence Layer reads your persona alongside each post's context. A pain-vent post gets an empathetic label-and-question reply. A recommendation request gets a warm offer only if the score is high enough.

Testing your persona#
Before going live:
- Use Reply Preview to see sample replies
- Generate a custom preview for your own business description
- Read the output out loud. If it sounds like an ad, tighten your persona rules
